Easy Circle Drawing | Stand for Palestine Art | Pencil Sketch for Beginners
Introduction
Welcome to today’s tutorial! In this post, we’re going to create a simple but meaningful pencil sketch: a circle drawing symbolizing solidarity with Palestine. This is perfect for beginners — you’ll learn the basics of circle layout, shading, and how to turn a simple sketch into a thoughtful artwork.
Whether you’re new to drawing or looking for a quick project, this guide will walk you through step by step.
Materials You’ll Need
-
A pencil (HB or 2B works well)
-
Sketching paper or drawing pad
-
Eraser (kneaded or standard)
-
Ruler or compass (for a perfect circle)
-
Sharpener
-
Optional: blending stump or cotton bud (for shading)
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Draw the Circle
Start by drawing a clean circle using a compass or freehand if you prefer. Make sure it’s centered on your paper and large enough to allow for details inside.
2. Add the “Stand for Palestine” Motif
Inside the circle, lightly sketch the key elements that represent standing for Palestine — perhaps the flag’s colors or symbolic shapes. Keep your lines light for now.
3. Outline Major Shapes and Symbols
Refine your sketch by outlining the main shapes. Use an HB pencil for light outlines. Decide where you’ll place darker areas and leave space for contrast.
4. Begin Shading
Switch to a 2B pencil for darker lines and shadows. Start shading the circle’s border or background to add depth. Use light strokes and build gradually.
5. Add Details and Texture
Focus on textures: maybe the folds of a flag, the roughness of background, or subtle shading to give a 3-D effect. Use the eraser to lift highlights.
6. Final Touches
Go over your lines one more time: deepen the darkest areas, sharpen outlines, and clean up any smudges. Sign your artwork if you like.
